Refund policy

This page sets out the terms of invoicing, cancellation and refund for the services provided by Olez Yachting. It supplements the mandate or the quotation signed between the parties, which prevails in the event of any difference.

1. Nature of the services

Olez Yachting provides brokerage and advisory services: a mandate to sell a vessel, search and support with a purchase, introduction for a charter, and the associated services (valuation, photographic and video presentation, distribution, support with viewings and negotiation).

These are services. Olez Yachting is not the seller of the vessels presented: the sale takes place between the owner and the buyer. The payment and withdrawal terms relating to the sale of the boat itself are governed by the contract concluded between them.

2. Quotation and order

Every service is covered by a written quotation or mandate setting out its scope, its price, how it will be carried out and how long it runs. Work begins once the client has accepted that document in writing.

3. Deposit and invoicing

• A deposit may be requested on ordering for services that involve immediate costs, in particular photographic and video production or paid distribution.
• The brokerage commission falls due at the point set out in the mandate, in principle on signature of the deed of sale or on completion of the transaction.
• Invoices are payable on receipt, unless a payment period has been agreed in writing.

4. Consumer right of withdrawal

Where the contract is concluded at a distance or away from business premises with a consumer client, that client has fourteen days in which to withdraw, without having to give a reason or bear any penalty.

To exercise that right, a clear request is enough, sent by email to info@olezyachting.com, before the deadline expires.

If the client has expressly asked for the service to begin before the end of the withdrawal period, they remain liable for the amount corresponding to what has been carried out up to the point the request is received. A service fully performed before the end of the period, with the client’s express agreement and waiver, can no longer give rise to withdrawal.

5. Refunds

Where a refund is due, it is made within fourteen days at most of the request being received, using the same means of payment as the original transaction, unless agreed otherwise. No fee is withheld.

6. Cancelling a photo or film session

Shoots depend on weather and access conditions. A session cancelled more than forty-eight hours in advance is rescheduled at no cost. Within that period, the travel and standby costs incurred may be invoiced. A session cancelled because of unfavourable weather is rescheduled at no cost.

7. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint should be sent to info@olezyachting.com. We undertake to reply within fifteen working days and to look for an amicable solution.

Failing agreement, a consumer client may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator, or to the European online dispute resolution platform.

The details of the consumer mediator will be added here once membership is in place.
